The Asia-Pacific region had a botanical boom with consumers purchasing plant-based beauty and personal products. With more disposable income and a desire to curb climate change, Euromonitor International saw product prices with botanical claims grow 37% compared to 2021.
That gave “producers of fast-moving consumer goods an opportunity to leverage their plant-based portfolios under the banner of sustainability.” Herbal products have traditionally done well in Asia, thanks in large part to Traditional Chinese Medicine and India’s Ayurveda.
